Under the direction of Mélanie Bourire (Saodaj, Ann O'Aro...), Kombo creates music steeped in maloya, jazz & rock. The group embodies the connection of skills and cross-influences of its three musicians, Mélanie Bourire, Lise Van Dooren and Frank Paco. Their original compositions generously support lyrics in Reunionese Creole, French, English, and Spanish. It's difficult to pigeonhole Kombo into a musical category, as their music strives to be free, nomadic, electric, and vibrant!
