A new dive into psychedelia with the prolific septet from Melbourne! The Australians KING GIZZARD & THE LIZARD WIZARD never do things by halves. In 2017, it’s not one but five albums that will be released, much to the delight of their fans! The first to be released is titled Flying Microtonal Banana, which sets the tone. Composed of nine tracks, this new album was born thanks to a custom-made microtonal guitar gifted to Stu, the band’s leader. This was followed by a desire to only play with microtonal instruments: modified electric guitars, basses, keyboards, and harmonicas accompanied the instrument, resulting in a unique sound! The album Flying Microtonal Banana is hypnotic, psychedelic, and powerful. It reveals a band in perpetual motion, always seeking to renew itself and offer new sounds. Can’t wait for the next ones!
