Australian artist Kimbra returns with her fourth album, eclectic and intimate! The two-time Grammy-winning artist Kimbra's fourth studio album is a reflective record about the macro-reflections of our world on environment, health, race, spirituality, and feminism. But at the heart of the album is the war she wages against the micro-reflections she faces internally. It's the most sonically self-contained and rawly confessional record she has ever made, drawing influence from everything from modern film soundtracks to electro-industrial pop. The album was conceived in 2018 while Kimbra was on tour with co-producer Ryan Lott of the band Son Lux, who recently scored A24's "Everything Everywhere All At Once." Kimbra hopes listeners find catharsis and connection on "A Reckoning," whether they are grappling with change in their own lives or processing changes in the world around them.
