The art of Kim Myhr's slow rhythms and sunny textures The Norwegian label SOFA is proud to mark its 100th release with the album "Hereafter", a major new work of breathtaking beauty by guitarist and composer Kim Myhr, written for the 15-piece Stavanger Kitchen Orchestra. "One can see "Hereafter" as a meditation on mortality and ephemerality," says Kim Myhr. On the international alternative/experimental scene, Norwegian guitarist and composer Kim Myhr is now recognized. After several recordings under his own name, mainly on the Hubro label, he has played with other artists such as Sidsel Endresen or the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra. "Hereafter" is his ninth album under his own name. The Guardian wrote: "Kim Myhr has mastered the art of slow rhythms and sunny textures that seem to glow from within."
