In 1981, Martin Kennedy, then a teenager, attended a concert by Steve Kilbey and The Church during a strange hippie festival in Tanelorn, Australia. The Church, a unique band, fascinated him with their anti-hippie look and sound, and he recorded their performance on a Walkman. These songs marked the beginning of his musical career. Forty-five years later, Kennedy and Kilbey reunite to work together on their ninth studio album, Things We Did On Earth.
