Friends was the fifth album by the psychedelic folk collective H&F Recordings. Also known as "Fragile", the album was self-released in 1974, with a rather makeshift sleeve. Recalling the vocal harmonies of Simon & Garfunkel and Buffalo Springfield, the record was — according to Howell and Ferdinando — a pure joy to create. We finally have the opportunity to rediscover this masterpiece of psychedelic folk pop with a sleeve worthy of the name and in a remastered version. Peter Howell, known for his work on the Doctor Who theme tunes and for his involvement with the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, and John Ferdinando were also behind the fascinating musical projects Ithaca and Agincourt.
