Stand on the word

In the 80s, Sister Phyliss McKoy Joubert, then choir director in New Jersey, recorded with her children's choir "Stand on the word". The title was released under the name "Joubert Singers", it was regularly played at the "Paradise Garage", the legendary disco club in New York, and thus became a reference standard for specialists. Twenty-five years later, at the initiative of French producer Julien Jabre, "Stand on the word" is re-recorded with Phyliss McKoy Joubert's choir and then revisited by the duo Mima (Maxime Desprez & Michael Torjdman). The original conditions are thus mixed with the current sound. KEEDZ is born. "Stand on the word" then lays the foundations of a concept for the time of an album... "Stand on the word", a mythical title from the 80s played by the legendary DJ of Studio 54 "Larry Levan". You rediscovered its 2012 version in the film "Polisse" (mythical scene in the club). The title has been on all TV channels for 3 weeks and for the summer in the "Samsung" campaign! "Stand on the word" is one of the most requested titles on search engines and it is already 14th in digital sales!
