After his first album Dear... released in a confidential setting and Birthdays, critically acclaimed, Kindly Now was written while Henson struggled with the compromise between the duty to put himself forward and the desire to make the music he loves. It’s a dilemma he presents in 'Alright', the first track of the album, unveiled as a dazzling introduction to Kindly Now. In this album, we find the influence of Henson's many cross-disciplinary projects: from his initiation to orchestration with the chamber music album Romantic Works to the electronic textures crafted in his entirely electronic album Behaving, as well as his first poetry collection Idiot Verse or the music he composed for the play Young Men.
