Description

Formed in Rennes in 2013, Kaviar Special is made up of four boys who, like their idols John "Oh Sees" Dwyer and Ty Segall, rewrite the reverberated genesis of electric music (surf, garage, psych...) with a grand, regressive gesture. After touring venues all over France and proving themselves on prestigious stages such as Les Trans Musicales (2015), Rock en Seine (2016), and the Festival Inrocks Lab (2016), the band returns with *Vortex*, their third album. This new album delivers 11 tracks that are both abrasive and sticky, and just as many electric shocks! On "Run Away," the sound of each instrument seems to levitate, while "Roadhouse" would be a perfect soundtrack for a bloody scene in a Tarantino movie. With "Back to School," a languid pop lament, the band shows that they can perfectly control their energy. Exploiting the potential of the Rennes-based musicians to the fullest, *Vortex* is an incredible sonic coup d'état!
