Glass: Cocteau Trilogy
Description
Katia and Marielle Labèque, the famous duo of pianist sisters whose career spans more than fifty years, announce their new album dedicated to the music of Philip Glass, concluding his operatic triptych based on the films of Jean Cocteau. After their acclaimed recording of Les Enfants Terribles in 2020, Katia and Marielle present the two remaining works of the Cocteau Trilogy: Orphée and La Belle et la Bête, arranged for them by Michael Riesman, collaborator and arranger of Philip Glass. With the Cocteau Trilogy, Katia and Marielle Labèque continue their exploration of the repertoire of the American minimalist composer, of whom they are major interpreters. The Cocteau Trilogy will be premiered in spring 2024 at the Philharmonie de Paris, then at the Opéra National de Bordeaux, at the Cité musicale in Metz, at the National Concert Hall in Dublin and at the Barbican Centre in London.Buy Glass: Cocteau Trilogy at the best price
