The new album by Capella de la Torre "Monteverdi: Memories" highlights Monteverdi's artistic development in his works. Based on Monteverdi's own carefully curated publications like the "VIII secular Madrigal Book" (1638) and the sacred "Selva morale et spirituale" (1641), which he published at the end of his life, Capella de la Torre emphasize his musical ideas from his twenty-year career as a court musician in Mantua to his nearly thirty years of religious service in Venice.
