Originally from Sydney, Kat Frankie made her name on the Berlin music scene. She has lived in the German capital since 2004, where she has already composed three albums. Initially, the melancholic pace of this introverted singer-songwriter resonated with Berlin audiences, but looking back now, Kat Frankie refutes that image: "I never wanted to be one of those sad singers with my guitar." And she has always managed to avoid this pitfall, notably thanks to her many side projects: guitarist accompanying Olli Schulz's band, composer of "Get Well Soon," the theme song for the talk show Schulz & Böhmermann, and participant in the Eurovision Song Contest pre-selections in 2016 as part of the duo Keøma.
