Kalaido is the lofi project of Portland (United States) composer/producer Phoenix Glendinning. He produces a melodic, instrumental hip-hop sound by blending a range of live instruments, field recordings, and VSTs, drawing on his experience in soundtrack music to create original compositions around his beats.Kalaido releases his new EP View Through the Mist on the French label Hip Dozer. The EP is his first project since his album Ghosts of the Floating World released in 2021. With its five instrumental tracks, Kalaido explores new sounds and sonic universes, ranging from jazz harp to traditional Chinese music.
