String quartets are typically associated with a complex genre for those with elite tastes. However, with their eponymous debut album (2019), Ingmar Süberkrüb (viola), Martin Bentz (cello), Adam Zolynski (violin), and Jansen Folkers (violin) sent classical music to the sidelines, making way with their musical openness for genres such as hip-hop, funk, electro, and pop. For their second album, 'Empire', the four musicians took advantage of the 2021 lockdown to retreat to the countryside to work on new compositions of their own. This time, they expanded their musical range by adding four vocal tracks, creating their own musical empire with established and familiar travel companions including Valeska Steiner, Jarvis Cocker, Joe Flory, Chilly Gonzales, and L'aupaire.
