Description

Second collaboration between guitarist, composer and producer Justin Adams and Mauro Durante, leader of the Italian group Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, following 'Still Moving' in 2021. After three years of world tours, Justin Adams' rock and punk background and Mauro Durante's Taranta-trance influence came together to create a unique sound with a palette ranging from raw rockabilly to Sufi ecstasy, exploring themes of musical healing and catharsis. With an almost telepathic level of interaction, the duo recorded the album in live conditions with moments of magical improvisation. The eponymous track 'Sweet Release' is a sincere manifesto of the duo's vision, featuring Adams' incomparable guitar touch and Durante's masterful tamburello.
