At the dawn of the 2000s, Julien Lourau was the French pioneer of encounters between jazz and electronic and club music. The success of his albums Groove Gang and Gambit on Label Bleu made him one of the most appreciated European saxophonists of the early century. He returns in 2020 on KOMOS with an album dedicated to the CTI label, 'Power Of Soul', a public and critical success. His new album 'CRIANÇAS' dedicated to Wayne Shorter's compositions from the 1980s highlights their Brazilian influences and brings them a contemporary groove and sound far from the fusion aesthetic.
