Initially scheduled for release on 01/23 Guitar virtuoso Julian Lage has announced the release of *Scenes from Above*, his fifth album on Blue Note. This is his second album in collaboration with renowned producer Joe Henry, and the first with a striking new quartet featuring keyboardist John Medeski, bassist Jorge Roeder, and drummer Kenny Wollesen. The album is unveiled today with the enchanting invocation “Opal,” accompanied by a live video.
