Juan Diego Florez joins with this album the list of tenors who have recorded the timeless Neapolitan and Italian songs, including some arranged for his idol and mentor Luciano Pavarotti. All the classics are present: from "O Sole Mio" to "Arriverderci Roma," "Mattinata" to "Non ti scordar di me." This album brings a true breath of youth to these famous songs, with arrangements worthy of an authentic Neapolitan group. For this, Florez is accompanied by Avi Avital on the mandolin and the famous accordionist Ksenija Sidorova. The renowned guitarist Craig Ogden also accompanies Juan Diego Florez for two songs. To top it all off, this album was recorded on the Italian coast, south of Pesaro, where Juan Diego built his summer home just like Pavarotti. The Giacchino Rossini Philharmonic Orchestra is conducted here by the young Italian Carlo Tenan. According to The Guardian, we find "Once again here the power and grandeur of a voice."
