"Of the 8 tracks on the album, the talented American saxophonist is accompanied by the Brooklyn Rider string ensemble and Patrick Zimmerli on composition. Joining this team are bassist Scott Colley and drummer Satoshi Takeishi. Based in Paris, Patrick Zimmerli's music is at the crossroads of classical music and contemporary jazz. He has already collaborated, among others, with Brad Mehldau, Brian Blade, Luciana Souza, Ethan Iverson, The Knights, and the Escher String Quartet. This is the second collaboration between Joshua Redman and Patrick Zimmerli after the latter composed the arrangements on Joshua's album 'Walking Shadows' in 2013. Joshua Redman's first album with Nonesuch in 2005, 'Momentum', was nominated for Grammy Awards. He subsequently released a series of trio albums (Back East, Compass, Trios Live) and then embarked on a duo project with Brad Mehldau (Nearness). In 2018, he presented Still Dreaming, an album inspired by his father and also nominated for Grammy Awards, followed by Come What May with the Joshua Redman Quartet. Used to collaborations, he returns here with an album full of promises that will delight the ears of his fans. He will also be passing through France for 2 concert dates in Paris as well as in Clermont Ferrand."
