Two releases from Chicago's short-lived Twinight label, which peaked in the late 60s and early 70s, and whose biggest star was Syl Johnson.
On Side A: "I've Made Up My Mind" by Josephine Taylor (1969). This funk track, with horns and a driving bassline behind Josephine's vocals, was the highlight of her short career, which began with three 45s for the Mar-V-Lus label.
On Side B: “Satisfied” by Krystal Generation (1970). A female quartet from Chicago featuring Darlene Arnold, who recorded several solo sides as well as half a dozen with Krystal Generation, which also released a few singles on Gene Chandler's Mister Chandler label. “Satisfied” is built around Darlene's lead vocals, superb harmonies, and some sassy Stax-worthy horns. A slightly slower tempo than Josephine Taylor's track, more soulful but just as funky.
