Denizen tenant
Description
Steve Lukather and Joseph Williams have decided to each release their solo album on 02/26/21. "Denizen Tenant" features 12 tracks, including a cover of the Beatles' "If I Fell," which Williams cites as the song that taught him the power of harmonies and vocal arrangements. On Peter Gabriel's "Don't Give Up," it is his daughter Hannah who sings. On these recordings, we find the constant presence of guitarists Steve Lukather and Mike Landau, as well as percussionist Lenny Castro. "Mike Landau has played on my music since I was a teenager, and he knows exactly what to do. He inspires me and pushes me further in my writing. With Steve Lukather, it's the same thing. Lenny, he knows exactly what works and offers me a multitude of choices. Like Mike, I've worked with Lenny since I was a kid." This album is part of the collaboration of the triumvirate Lukather/Paich/Williams. Williams co-wrote "Liberty Man" with Paich, who also plays Hammond B3 organ on "Black Dahlia." "I love writing with Dave. On this track, as on many others, we spent hours talking about history, religion, music, literature, cinema… Like excited kids, it leads us to a subject or a concept to end up with a song, then we keep some ideas and discard others. While doing this, we shape the melodies and reshape them." Meticulous craftsmanship!Buy Denizen tenant at the best price
