Joseph d'Anvers is the author of four albums released since 2006, on the Atmosphériques label. Among the contributors are Darrell Thorp (Radiohead, McCartney, Air...), Mario Caldato Jr (Beastie Boys, Beck...), Dominique A, Miossec, Vanessa Da Mata, Money Mark, Troy Von Balthazar, Lescop, and many others. In parallel, he has written for numerous singers and bands (Alain Bashung, Day One, Dick Rivers, Françoise Hardy...) and collaborated with theater companies and film productions to compose original soundtracks. In 2019, he founded the company Doppelgänger and now produces his various projects. Since Doppelgänger evokes "the double" in Norse mythology, the trajectory of this new album traverses multiple, electric, and sensual territories: synthetic landscapes, contemporary melancholy, Californian sunsets, urban iridescences... Joseph d'Anvers, the director of photography, creates sound lights, sets melodic atmospheres, balancing rock stridencies and hedonistic horizons, a palette as eclectic as it is coherent. Joseph d'Anvers, the boxer, infuses his electro pulses, his astonishing arrhythmias, his dizzying accelerations. Joseph d'Anvers, the novelist, delivers a thousand and one stories tinged with romanticism, darkness, and innocence. These are narratives escaped from his intimate fictions, inexhaustible. For the doubles, hidden reverses, and multiple visions are the themes explored in this new opus, like a constellation of musical fictions.
