Joseph Arthur is now well-known as a talented multi-instrumentalist, whom we have previously seen solo or as a member of Fistful Of Mercy with Dhani Harrison and Ben Harper, or of RNDM with Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam. Joseph Arthur returns in 2016 with a solo album centered around the theme of family. Vocals, drums, drum machine, piano, synthesizers, guitars... everything on this album, which sounds like a beautiful life lesson, is played by Joseph, in which he reflects on how family shapes us and makes us who we are. *The Family* is mixed by Tchad Blake, who had previously collaborated with Joseph on two songs: "In the Sun" and "Honey and the Moon." The album was composed on a 1912 Steinway Vertgrande piano that the multi-instrumentalist recently acquired. This instrument, steeped in history, was clearly a source of inspiration.
