At just 25 years old, Jordan Rakei, a singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist of New Zealand origin now based in London, has carved out a special place among the promising talents of modern, open R&B, in tune with its time. He further develops this universe on Wallflower, his second album, available on September 22, 2017, from Ninja Tune. Jordan owes the soaring success of his young career primarily to himself. His exceptional musical talent (he writes, sings, plays most of the instruments on his records...) is combined with a relentless ambition to prove his status as a complete artist. A singular talent for songwriting revealed on his EP Groove Curse in 2014 and confirmed by the release of Cloak, his very first album, two years later.
