COFFRET4LP ARCHIVES, VOL. 3: THE ASYLUM YEARS (1972-1975)
Description
As part of the "Archives Series" project, this new 4-LP box set, Archives, Vol. 3: The Asylum Years (1972-1975), sheds new light on the early 70s, often considered to be Joni Mitchell's best period. Starting with a working version of "Cold Blue Steel And Sweet Fire," tested during a visit to a Graham Nash and David Crosby recording session, this archival selection offers early demos and alternate versions of tracks from the albums "For The Roses" (1972), "Court And Spark" (1974) and "The Hissing Of Summer Lawns" (1975), as well as live recordings from the era, including Joni Mitchell's triumphant return to Carnegie Hall in 1972 and a concert with the backing band Tom Scott & the L.A. Express. Not to mention tracks recorded during sessions with James Taylor, Graham Nash and Neil Young... Also included is an unreleased demo of her famous song "Help Me." A booklet with photos and an interview between Joni Mitchell and Cameron Crowe is included in this edition.
