Organist Big John Patton signed in 1966 with Got A Good Thing Goin’ a manifesto of soul jazz, driven by the close duo he forms with guitarist Grant Green. Their chemistry fuels a program blending the duo's compositions and covers of Marvin Gaye and Sam Cooke, with Hugh Walker (drums) and Richard Landrum (congas). Tone Poet stereo edition, fully analog, mastered by K. Gray from the original tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl and presented in a deluxe gatefold sleeve.
