50 Year Trip: Live at Red Rocks

Description

In 2020, John Fogerty celebrates the 50th anniversary of his career, a Milesstones celebration for one of America's greatest singer-songwriters. Iconic hits like "Proud Mary", "Fortunate Son", "Who'll Stop the Rain", "Born on the Bayou", "Bad Moon Rising" and many others from his songbook were all released in 1969. To mark this anniversary, Fogerty was on a national tour in the US this year and performed on June 20 at the Red Rock Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. This concert, themed "50 year trip: live at Red Rocks", was recorded and will be released on January 24, 2020 on CD and double vinyl. The incredible setlist includes seventeen classics by John Fogerty and Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) such as "Proud Mary", "Bad Moon Rising" and "Centerfield" as well as covers of "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" by Gladys Knight & The Pips and "Susie Q", which was first released on CCR's debut album in 1968, and was the band's only top 40 hit not written by Fogerty. "I've played Red Rocks many times over the years and it's always magical, but this time it will certainly be one of the most important moments of my life to play with my two sons on this fantastic stage," Fogerty said about this special performance.
