Dark Horse Records is celebrating the 20th anniversary of JOE STRUMMER of The Clash’s album ‘Streetcore’. The audio has been remastered by Paul Hicks (The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, George Harrison) and the cover has been reproduced from the original version. The vinyl comes with an exclusive copy of Strummer’s handwritten lyrics for “Coma Girl.” Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros’ third studio album, which features the single “Coma Girl,” was released posthumously after Joe’s death in 2002. Due to Strummer’s passing, many tracks feature early and only vocal takes. The fan-favorite cover of Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song” and the track “Long Shadow” were produced by Rick Rubin. A simpler rock album, reminiscent of Strummer’s early work with The Clash, the album received positive critical reception and is considered a return to form and a high point for Strummer’s late solo career.
