Throughout a career spanning more than twenty years, during which he collaborated with MF DOOM, Thom Yorke, Damon Albarn, BadBadNotGood, Beth Gibbons of Portishead, Jneiro Jarel has always sought a synthesis between Brazilian music and his African roots. His consistently original and avant-garde productions, along with his love for Brazilian music, made his partnership with Far Out a perfect match, and here he releases an album blending electronic, jazz, and Brazilian music. After A Thousand Years features the legendary multi-instrumentalist Bill Summers, famous for his work with Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, and Eddie Henderson. The album also presents the American guitarist of Malawian origin Masauko Chipembere, who has worked with groups such as RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan and Ladybug Mecca of Digable Planets.
