Released in 1971, "Cry Of Love" and "Rainbow Bridge" reveal the musical direction Jimi Hendrix was taking before working on "First Rays Of The New Rising Sun," the ambitious double album the guitarist had begun composing just before his death. "Cry Of Love" reached the Top 5 on both sides of the Atlantic, while "Rainbow Bridge" was praised for its virtuosity and technicality. "Cry Of Love" had been unavailable since 1992, and "Rainbow Bridge" is being released on CD for the first time. Both albums will be available on CD and LP and have been remastered by Bernie Grundman.
