2015 and the silence is broken! We've had to wait almost fifteen years for a new album of songs from Jim O'Rourke. It's hard to believe that more than 14 years have passed since the release of 'Insignificance', an album that was criticized upon its release but has since gained cult status. In 2009, O'Rourke released an instrumental album, 'The Visitor', and fans wondered if he would ever sing again, especially as Jim O'Rourke was busy playing bass for Sonic Youth. It took O'Rourke 5 years to complete this album and deliver an album of eight impeccable songs with timeless melodies that reveal themselves with each listen. And you're surprised (or not) to put the record back on as soon as the last song finishes. It couldn't be more addictive.
