Jerry Paper, aka Lucas Nathan, is making an eccentric synth-pop album that's going to shake up the New York pop scene. Jerry Paper (aka Lucas Nathan) is a highly creative musician from Los Angeles, a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer. *Like A Baby* is his debut album and will be released on October 12th on Stones Throw. For this album, Nathan collaborated with several artists, including Matty Tavares from BadBadNotGood, who co-produced the album, Weyes Blood, Alex Brettin from Mild High Club, and singer Charlotte Day Wilson. Jerry Paper drew inspiration from themes like desire and self-satisfaction, and from New York, the city he moved to after LA. The inspirations for this record range from pop artists like Todd Rundgren or Steely Dan, to Stereolab, Brazilian avant-garde bands, and Japanese electronic pop.
