The young 19-year-old from Nice who made her mark during Star Academy is releasing her first album, three months after the grand finale of the show. Three months that were dedicated to the studio. To be frank, we could have feared the worst, and ultimately, the record is quite coherent and convincing. Jenifer leaves behind the r&b that we saw her tackle in the show to focus on pop-folk tracks, guitar-driven. Frankly, it's well produced. And for good reason, Universal surrounded the young singer with "makers": Calogéro, Lionel Florence, Alana Filippi, and even Marc Lavoine...
A catchy first single (J'attends l'amour), often dynamic tracks (like Au soleil), the inevitable duet with Mario (which we could have done without), and nice surprises like Nos points communs, a mid-tempo track with a pleasant feel... One downside, however, regarding the lyrics, which often play on simplicity and the inevitable "everyone needs love."
