Description

Fargo is a fantastic dark comedy and crime drama created and written by Noah Hawley and inspired by the 1996 film of the same name by Joel and Ethan Coen. The Coen brothers are executive producers of the series. The series stars Martin Freeman (The Hobbit trilogy), Billy Bob Thornton, Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) and many others. The soundtrack includes selections from the original music for the series composed by Jeff Russo (Power, Necessary Roughness, About Cherry). His score is well-crafted, with different motifs or instruments assigned to different characters. For Lester Nygaard (Martin Freeman's character), it is this almost whimsical main theme. For the drifter Lorne Malvo (Thornton's character), it is the sleigh bell chimes that represent his animal nature coming out.
