OGROFF aka MAD MUTILATOR (Vinyl)

Description

For Ogroff, the mad lumberjack, the war is not yet over. Trepanned and having had an eye removed during the war, he continues the fight and savagely massacres all who enter his forest. 1982. With no money but a lot of passion, Norbert Moutier dreams of making a French "Texas Chainsaw Massacre / Friday the 13th / Night of the Living Dead." With the help of friends, and especially the entire Bisseuse community (Alain Petit, Jean-Pierre Putters, Christophe Lemaire, François Cognard, Bruno Terrier, Jean-Claude Guenet, Pierre Pattin), he manages to shoot Ogroff in Super 8, in the Orléans forest over several weekends. Violent murders, chases in the woods, zombies, vampires: the result lives up to expectations, amateur, gory, and somewhat implausible. Having the luxury of Howard Vernon's participation, Ogroff was screened at the Super 8 Festival organized by Mad Movies magazine, and distributed worldwide under the title "Mad Mutilator," achieving cult UFNO status whose aura still shines today. Unrestrained, composer Jean Richard set Moutier's psychotronic delusions to music, moving from a digital reggae hit prefiguring the gems of the German label Jahtari to an electronic suite that Popol Vuh or Tangerine Dream would not have disowned.
