Since 1966 is a musical creation in which drummer Jean- Philippe FANFANT wanted to reconnect with all the elements and people who have marked his rich journey. The album is a collection of all the influences of an artist at a crossroads. Jean- Philippe FANFANT invites his friends, those he has often accompanied, to accompany him in return, sailing through sound and time. The starting point of the journey is located on the banks of Guinea Conakry. Then, gently, he takes flight towards the song of the hills of Martinique, calls out to the “boulagels” of Guadeloupe, crosses the Caribbean to land in the streets of New York.
An international journey, without borders... all in music.
