In 1987, without even holding him responsible for the breakup of Téléphone, no one gave much for the skin of Jean-Louis Aubert, Jagger à la française forever separated from the Rolling Stones who rolled for him. But through stubbornness, catchy refrains, and never hesitating to get into the fray on the road, where the public is won over by the strength of the wrist, Aubert has shaped a solo career, enviable in many respects, all while affording himself the luxury of silencing the jeers. Unlike his friend Bertignac, the shadow guitarist who could have remained there if Carla Bruni hadn't fallen for his three-legged songs, Aubert has never hesitated to step up, forcing his destiny with albums like H, Stockholm, or the most recent and very successful Commun accord.
