After the critical and public success of the album "9 songs about love" (Playlist France Inter, 4 keys Télérama, reviews in Le Monde, Les Inrocks Libé, etc.), J.E. Sunde releases a magnificent new album: "Alice, Gloria and Jon". An American singer-songwriter based in Minneapolis, Jon recorded in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, at the "Bungaleau" studio of Shane Leonard, his long-time collaborator and drummer/percussionist on his records.
This new opus evokes the strange and surprising experience of adult life, as one never imagined it as a child. By combining a dry and irresistible groove with synthetic arrangements and acoustic instruments, the duo has produced an album inspired as much by krautrock as by JJ Cale or 80s synth-pop.
After a flurry of small collaborative releases in 2021 that explored a wide range of musical styles, "Alice, Gloria and Jon" is J.E Sunde's first full-length release since "9 Songs About Love" in 2020.
