Jazz Sabbath

Description

This album contains 7 tracks made famous by the band Black Sabbath but originally composed in 1970 by the leader of a jazz group, Jazz Sabbath, Milton Keanes. The album was supposed to be released on a Friday the 13th, but Milton, following a heart attack, was hospitalized and remained between life and death for a long time. The record label postponed the release of the eponymous album, thinking it was not reasonable to promote it while the composer was fighting for his life, especially since it was the band's first album. When Milton Keanes emerged from his very long convalescence, he discovered that a band called Black Sabbath had covered his tracks in a metal version. However, he could prove nothing because in the meantime, his record label had gone bankrupt and the warehouse burned down, taking with it all the vinyl records and master tapes. It was only 50 years later, at the initiative of Adam Wakeman, the current keyboardist of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne, and the son of Rick Wakeman, that the tapes were found well away from the ashes, restored and remastered. So here it is, half a century later, this exceptional album, which has sold millions of copies by others in its restored original version.
