Description

Jarvis Cocker, the founder of the famous British band "Pulp," and Chilly Gonzales, the Canadian pianist and composer, come together for a project: Room 29. During an extended stay in suite no. 29 at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Hollywood, Cocker writes a series of texts in the form of a theatrical work about the atmosphere of the place, marked by numerous stories from the world of rock and cinema: James Dean clung to a window during his audition for the film Rebel Without a Cause, Jim Morrison nearly lost his life jumping from the roof. Room 29 is a studio recording of this theatrical piece, composed of catchy songs and piano interludes.
