Far from the folk of his beginnings, James Vincent McMorrow reinvents himself for his third album "We Move": James Vincent McMorrow is an artist of all extremes. Formerly a drummer in post-hardcore and heavy metal bands, a great lover of punk and hip-hop, the Irish artist nevertheless rose to prominence with "Early In The Morning", a first collection of sensitive folk released in 2011. In addition to his musical talents, the tracks "We Don't Eat" and "Sparrow & The Wolf" primarily highlighted his dizzying falsetto capable of reaching unexpected heights. Building on this critical success, James Vincent McMorrow isolated himself in the American desert to deconstruct his musical universe. The challenge, risky but sublime, gave birth to the refined "Post Tropical" (2014), a constellation of hazy tracks studded with electronic touches. Pure grace! For his third album, titled "We Move", James Vincent McMorrow once again wanted to step out of his comfort zone. In a long message published on social networks, the Irish singer sincerely explained his approach, interweaving introspective confessions, a critical look at his previous records, and a desire to reinvent himself. "When I started working on this project, I scribbled two things on a page. The first was 'We move. Or we don't. We change. Or we stay the same.' That somehow became the leitmotif of the album and that's where its title comes from. The second was 'There's no reason why dancing and melancholy should be incompatible,'" explains the Dublin native, who surrounded himself with producers Nineteen85 (Drake), Two Inch Punch (Sam Smith, Years & Years), and Frank Dukes (Kanye West, Rihanna).
