Description

Jacques Mayoud, one of the pioneers of French folk from the 70s and 90s, has gathered in this new album dance tunes composed over the years. A large part of this music came to him… during his sleep. These melodies captured in dreams have joined other tunes that have been swirling in the back of his mind for a long time. Forgotten for a few months, a few years, Jacques Mayoud now brings them back to life in this Bal des Songes, an instrumental album outside of a group project, guided by simplicity and good cheer. For this special ball, Jacques Mayoud has surrounded himself with a wonderful group of musicians playing folk instruments as well as those of gypsy swing.
