Formed in 1994 in Portland, JACKIE O MOTHERFUCKER was a duo, composed of TOM GREENWOOD and NESTER BUCKET, combining collages, improvisation and folk song structures. Then, after Nester Bucket's departure, JACKIE O MOTHERFUCKER became a collective and now has 10 albums to its credit. *Ballads Ofthe Revolution* is their 10th and new album. It opens with a traditional ballad arrangement featuring pedal steel and double bass, continues with an improvised cover of LUCKY DRAGONS' 'Dark Falcon', returns to 'Skylight', a live track never before recorded, and closes with the melancholic guitar fuzz of 'A Mania'.
