ATTENTION : A dream team for all jazz lovers! A "super group," four virtuosos: JACK DEJOHNETTE, LARRY GRENADIER, JOHN MEDESKI, AND JOHN SCOFIELD. At the heart of this project is a strong idea that resides in the name of the group and the title of the album: the Hudson Valley in the state of New York, which gave birth to this music: the four musicians reside there, and the album was recorded there. This place is the main source of inspiration for the album, as the group members share their passion for the spectacular beauty of nature and their common sense of environmental issues. Naming this project "Hudson" therefore seemed obvious, and a way to pay tribute to the historical heritage of this region that has always been home to a large community of artists. In addition to original compositions, we discover a repertoire of songs from the greatest musical figures of the Hudson Valley: Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, and Joni Mitchell.
