{"product_id":"intercommunal-free-dance-music-orchestra_apras-la-marase-noire_2025_lba","title":"Après la marĂŠe noire","description":"At the end of 1970, after working on his \"made in France\" free jazz and, with his Intercommunal Free Dance Music Orchestra, singing the blues with all the regional accents of the country, François Tusques contributed to the traditional music of a region he knows well: Brittany. With the electric bass of Tanguy Le Doré and the bombards and bagpipes of Jean-Louis Le Vallegant, Gaby Kerdoncuff and Philippe Lestrat, the Intercommunal becomes a sort of Breton Brotherhood. But if the waves and undulations recall Chris McGregor, the repetitions and dissonances soon destabilize the ensemble. What a bracing wind in Brittany!If François Tusques' jazz is \"free,\" his spirit is even more so: after recording free jazz with other French musicians sharing his sensibility (Michel Portal, François Jeanneau, Bernard Vitet, Beb Guérin and Charles Saudrais), the pianist explored many horizons, whether with Barney Wilen (Le Nouveau Jazz) or solo (Piano Dazibao and Dazibao N°2), in order to never repeat himself. In 1971, he founded the Inter Communal Free Dance Music Orchestra which, as indicated by the notes of this album, \"is an interpretation of a music that synthesizes the different communities living and working in France.\" In 1976, on the first album (L'Inter Communal), we already hear Tusques playing without borders alongside Carlos Andreu (vocals), Michel Marre (trumpet and saxophone), Jo Maka (saxophone) and Ramadolf (trombone). It is a meeting between jazz and the music of Catalonia, Occitania and Africa. So far so good, but what about Brittany, which Tusques knows \"by heart\"?After living for a long time in Nantes, he developed his \"Brittanism\" on the canal linking this city to Brest, notably by playing with the Diaouled-Ar-Menez. With these \"devils of the mountains\" who, under the direction of Yann Goasdoué, worked throughout the 1970s on the revival of Breton music, Tusques met, among others, Tanguy Ledoré and invited him one day, with three bombards and a few bagpipes (Jean-Louis Le Vallegant, Gaby Kerdoncuff and Philippe Lestrat), to join the ranks of the Intercommunal. And that is how they set out to conquer a new Breton music, as the title indicates: Verse une musique bretonne nouvelle !With the percussion of Samuel Ateba and Kilikus, the association launches the \"bombardier\": the repetitions and dissonances of the different members serve a common cause: dance, which is always the reason for the celebration. This sets in motion a whole universe, which can evoke Chris McGregor's Brotherhood Of Breath (\"La rencontre\") when it does not incorporate the waltz, swing, blues and gavotta, or even reveal mysteries like those of Gurdjieff (\"Les racines de la montagne\" or \"Le cheval\", sung by Andreu). Only one thing to say to this Brotherhood Of Breath: Thank you!","brand":"Intercommunal Free Dance Music Orchestra","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57469666689368,"sku":null,"price":20251121.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/3491570068120.jpg?v=1780871910","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/intercommunal-free-dance-music-orchestra_apras-la-marase-noire_2025_lba","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
