"Ese puerto existe" comes from a two-track EP by Insolito Universo, a band in which Maria Fernanda De Caracas is a singer, songwriter, and performer. Released in September 2022, this song is inspired by a collection of the same name written in 1959 by the poet Blanca Varela. The lyrics are inspired by Supe Puerto, a small port town in Peru. The blend of traditional, modern, and psychedelic sounds is undoubtedly what most characterizes this music. The keyboard sounds skillfully combine with percussion, vocals, and the Venezuelan cuatro guitar played by Maria Fernanda De Caracas. The musical heritage of South America is also identifiable through the Gaita Tambora (a rhythm from the Afro-Venezuelan tradition) and the choruses, which set the scene for a popular song.
