DAIS is proud to present the first vinyl reissues from the cult New Zealand band NOCTURNAL PROJECTIONS. This project by the prolific Jefferies brothers, who later founded This Kind Of Punishment before embarking on solo careers, was an explosively dark, avant-garde post-punk band. Largely ignored during their active years, they were often compared to Joy Division, The Fall, and Wire, a whole British scene they could never fully leverage due to geographical distance. "Inmates In Images" compiles their best live performances between 1981 and 1983. It includes the never-before-recorded tracks "Black Faces" and "Late Night." Also included is "Walk In Straight Line," written in October 1980 by the two brothers, originally intended for their previous band: The Plastic Bags. This live album features extensive documentation, blending archival material with the history of New Zealand music. Grey/marbled LP with download code, remastered from the original pressings.
