Colonel Red's foray into the music industry began when Sylvia Rhone, the giant of Epic Records, signed Nikki Romillie, then the lead singer of Pride n' Politix, to Atlantic Records. A publishing deal with Warner Bros. allowed the artist, now known as Colonel Red, to establish himself as one of the UK's most avant-garde singer-songwriters. Inkswel is considered one of the most prolific and active beat producers in Australia.
