Notte magica, a tribute to the three tenors

The Italian vocal trio Il Volo (the flight) is one of the biggest names in today's classical crossover. The ensemble combines a traditional approach to opera, by real tenors with impressive means, with the symphonic pop musical language. Formed in 2009 following an Italian reality TV show, it consists of Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble. Very quickly, the trio achieved worldwide success and captured a massive popular audience in Italy, of course, but also throughout Europe and the United States. Their records reach absolute records, with over 2 million albums sold worldwide; they appear on Gold and Platinum record lists in many countries: Italy, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Australia, Mexico, and Argentina, ... Here they are reunited again for a series of giant concerts that take them from the United States to Europe as well as Latin America. It is during this prestigious tour that the concert "Notte Magica" (Magical Night) takes place in Florence (Piazza Santa Croce) in July 2016, with the exceptional participation of Placido Domingo, where the three artists pay tribute to the "Three Tenors" and their historic concert at the ancient Baths of Caracalla in Rome in 1990.
