Concertos avec flûte

Description

The flute compositions of Johann Sebastian Bach are considered the pinnacle of their time, not only for their contrapuntal content but also for the significant technical challenges they present to the flutist. In some cases, Bach pushes the limits of the instrument, using all possible keys and even extending the traverso flute into its most distant ranges. In addition to the solo works (the Partita BWV 1013 and the collection of sonatas for flute), Jan De Winne presents the Orchestral Suite No. 2 BWV 1067 (a must in a flutist's repertoire) in which the traverso flute plays a crucial role, the Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 BWV 1050, and the Triple Concerto BWV 1044.
